This is a little random but I did a lot of homemade Christmas presents this year because I was feeling a little creative. It wasn't necessarily the smartest thing to do during finals (I didn't actually do any of them during finals BUT I thought about them a lot and really WANTED to do them during finals). AnyHOO! I just wanted to share the finished products with you! I was very proud of myself.
These first things are just cans that I emptied and put other candy in them and they were given to different people, I made them for all of my co-workers as well as for some family members. They are really cool because they are pop top and I emptied the contents from the bottom so you really got to "pop" the top off!
These were essentially the same thing but with different containers and they were for two different grandparents. The balls inside the cage and the bowl were all made by hand, that is what took the longest but I think they turned out REALLY well! I loved them! They are made with styrofoam balls and some have twisted strips of fabric around them and others have twine, some regular and some spray painted black. (on a side note...styrofoam is EXPENSIVE, I had no idea!!)
The next one was for my sister, Ashlie. It is my SECOND favorite one. It was super easy, just a cork board and close pins and then put cute paper on them! I was nervous for how this was going to turn out because I kind of made it up after seeing the close pins that I thought were just adorable but I think it turned out very well!
Last bu certainly not least is my mom's present! I LOVE this I combined a few ideas that I got online and used the same balls from before except they were now strung onto this awesome ribbon and hung in an empty picture frame! The middle two are done with fabric and the outside two are twine spray painted black. I was so excited for her to see it and she loved it just as much as I did!
