Catch Up Time!

I finally brought my camera cord to work so that I could upload my pictures to this computer and blog about the VERY exciting things that are going on in my life :) haha! So I am going to start from the most recent and work my way backwards!

Bowling
This weekned my roommate Stephanie REALLY wanted to go bowling and Bri and I didn't have any other really great ideas for our Satuday night so off we went to bowl! It was such a great time. It had been and while since Bri or I had bowled and Steph had just gone the other week. But a great time was had by all.

When we got there it was a half hour wait for a lane but tha
t was fine so we started our wait. I went and sat down on some steps and this guy in a cowboy hat comes up to us and asks us if we want to go play pool with him and his friends. We had some time to kill and it never hurts to make friends. So we head of to "play" pool with him. I don't know what his definition of "playing" pool is but what he really meant was "do you want to come over and end up always standing in my way while my friends and I play pool and you can watch us?!". Haha. I thought it was kind of funny because I was expecting to actually play but that was not the case! Oh well! It was funny and they were nice guys. Stephanie became quite good friends with one of them (if any of you know Stephanie you know that she is just a friendly person and chats away with anyone so it is not hard for her to make friends with people0). Many times when it was her turn I would have to go get from the other people's lane and make her come back and play with us :) it was a great night and lots of fun for all of us.
Santa Cruz!!
I had the wonderful opportunity to go home for about a week be
fore memorial day and go camping with my family. This is my favorite vacation that we take each year and so I was really excited. It was so fun to spend this time as a family and it is crazy how much it has changed since we were all so little. We used to all shared one tent (before the boys...I don't think all 7 of us ever piled into one tent). But it has all changed so much since then...we are all grown up and Amber was at a different campsite this year with her own family. Its so exciting to see the changes in our lives! I had such a great time, Ashlie wouldn't zip her sleeping bag together with me and keep me warm (apparently she is punishing me for my 13 year old attitude or something!) so the first night I was freezing but then I put on some extra layers and grabbed a blanket and was good to go!

Last year my mom, Jason, and I took a hike and
it was such a great time that everyone else felt the need to join in this time. Jason led us on a hike and even told us some cool stuff he had learned on a hike the previous night. My next favorite part was the tide pools! Thanks to my mom she took Derek, Ashlie, Jason, Sydney, and I there and we had a great time. She really wanted to see a hermit crab really bad but we just couldn't find one. We saw lots of cool stuff and lots of star fish! It was so fun and SOO windy and you can see from the pictures! The last thing we did was go to the pier and do some crabbing, there were some that had done this already but most of us hadn't and it was a great time. My favorite part is the sea lions that you can go look at under the pier. They are so cool but they weren't that exciting at night. It was pretty cold and so Amber and Derek took Abby into the car, she is so stinkin cute even in her "senta" suit! We caught a pretty big starfish and some baby crabs, nothing too huge or exciting but it was a GREAT time. All in all the trip was a great success and I am so grateful for my family and the time that I get to spend with them. I miss them a lot and it is always great to see them!

Camping Trip
The weekend before I left to go camping, some friends planed a camping trip up in the canyon and I went. It was so fun! We were pretty high up and were pr
etty much alone until another group came and camped right next to us. Not ideal but it was fine! We didn't do much, just relaxed, roasted marshmallows and hot dogs and just hung out. There were quite a big group that came up to enjoy the fire but only a handful of us stayed the night. It was fun, my good friend Callie pretty mich provided me with everything I would need. Her family lives up in Lehi so she had a ton of stuff. All I brought was my clothes and she brought everything else (she even brought some Dr. Pepper for me! lol). We slept in the bed of her dads truck and put a tarp over the top, it was pretty awesome. We found out while we were up there that there were bear warnings so that made us a little scared but we all successfully lived through the night and it was a great time. We had breakfast in the morning and then headed home. It was a very fun time, I can't wait to do it again!
Sleepless in Seattle
Bri got to go to Hawaii for 10 days during May and it was also right around her Birthday and she somehow needed to get to Washington to fly out with the family that she was going with. Naturally I am always up for a road trip so me and Bri headed to Washington for her Brithday weekend. HOWEVER I did not want to drive all the way back by myself so we stopped off in Rexburg on our way (or what we thought was on our way it added about 3 hours to our already 10 hour drive...not the smartest plan) and picked up two of her cousins. We got to our destination at about 6am but me and Bri had slept pretty much the entire way, one of her cousins that CAN'T sleep in cars drove (so glad we brought her!). When we arrived at her house we decided to take a quick two hour nap and then get up, get ready, and head to Seattle for a fun filled day. Her dad, brother, and sister joined us. We had a ton of fun. It was my first time there and it is a beautiful city. I had never seen the green part of Washington because where Bri lives is not green really at all (and by that I mean its not green AT ALL!). But it was absolutely beautiful, I loved it!
I don't really know how this came about but somehow I ended up on Bri's shoulders and Carson on her dad's I was dying laughing. She tried to stand up but she could! lol! So funny. Check out that pure enjoyment on my face!
We stopped for lunch and this place that claimed to have the BEST sandwiches! They were pretty good and we took a ton of pictures! This one is one of my personal favorites. We didn't really plan any of these pictures they all just kind of happened. Apparently Bri thinks that Amber and I are pigs!
I love this pic. We were on this pier and it was BEAUTIFUL! I loved it and it was so fun!
How cute is this little guy?! He loved the water! This was by far my favorite place, pike's place, they had the most beautiful flowers I wanted to buy some but I had no one to buy them for so I decided against it. But they also had fresh fruit! We bought some raspberries and black berries, they were the most delicious berries I have ever had! I LOVED them!
Check out all the of picture from the trip!

After this we went back to her house and then the next day I left for a long drive home. I slept the whole way to Idaho and then drove from Rexburg to Provo all on my lonesome. It was kind of a rought night, I didn't get home until 3am and then had to work the next morning but it was all worth it! It was a FABULOUS tri
p!

  1. I love the collages! Nicely done! You're like a blog expert! Nice work catching up...I need to do that. Thanks so much for taking me home for my birthday. You're the best friend ever! I'm bummed that I didn't get to come camping with you...both times, but it looks like you had so much fun! We'll have to go sometime soon!
